Terms & Conditions

Requesting an Invoice:  Invoices are only active for 24 hours OR until the date is booked by another customer.  Please only request an invoice when you are ready to pay.  Unpaid invoices will be canceled and will not be resent.

Retainers:  A 50% non-refundable retainer is required to secure the date for your order.  Due to the small size of our cake shop, we are limited to the number of orders we can create per week. If you know the date of your event but do not know what you want to order, a $75 retainer is required to secure your spot.  There are no refunds for any reason.

 

Final Payments:  All final payments are due 7 days before your event (30 days for orders over $400).  If the balance remains unpaid by the due date, a $15 late fee will be assessed and your order may be canceled.  Please communicate any issues that may arise.  Please keep track of your due date to avoid any late fees.

 

Cancelation Policy:  We must often purchase supplies in advance and decline other orders to secure your booking date.  Whether you have paid a 50% retainer or paid your order in full, no partial or full refunds are provided for any reason.  If your entire order is not paid by the due date, we will not begin making your order and it will be canceled due to non-payment.  If you provide a 14-day cancelation notice, we will work with you to reschedule your order at a later date.

 

Location & Pick-Up:  SteffyCakes is located on the North East side of San Antonio, Texas.  The pick-up address will be provided at the time your order is placed (zip code 78239).  SteffyCakes is NOT a full-time cake shop & all pick-ups are scheduled by appointment only.  Please notify SteffyCakes of your preferred pick-up time at least 1 week prior to your event date.  Please arrive no later than 15 minutes past your scheduled  pick-up time.  We schedule other deliveries around your appointment time so please notify SteffyCakes if you are running late for any reason.  If you are unable to pick-up your order at the agreed upon time, your pick-up time may be defaulted to SteffyCakes availability on that particular day after deliveries have been completed.

Delivery:  Delivery can be added at the time your order is booked and in most cases it can be added with 24 hours notice.  Please arrive at the venue to accept your order no later than 15 minutes past your scheduled delivery time to avoid additional delivery fees.

Once your cake is delivered or picked-up SteffyCakes is not liable for any damage to your order. Please notify SteffyCakes at the time of pick-up/delivery of any issues or concerns.  There is absolutely no compensation for cakes, cookies or cupcakes that have been consumed.

 

Transporting Your Order:  If you are transporting your cake, please prepare your vehicle so it is clean and free of items that could roll or slide into you order.  Do not place your cake on unlevel or heated seats.  We do everything in our power to provide a well-structured cake and securely packaged treats but please note these items are very fragile and break easily.  Drive carefully, slowly, do not brake suddenly or speed over speed bumps/potholes.  Cakes will melt if exposed to direct sunlight or heat.  Delivery is always recommended for cakes with 3 or more tiers.  It is never recommended to display cakes outside in the heat or sunlight.

 

Allergens:  SteffyCakes does not operate in an allergen-free kitchen.  Eggs, nuts, wheat, berries, gluten and dairy may come into contact with your order.  All orders are made in a home-based kitchen and we are not inspected by the Department of State Health Services or local health department.

By making a payment toward your order you are agreeing to all of the terms on this page, including the no refund & cancelation policy explained above.
